Charley Harper has had a big influence on my work for a couple of years now. I’ve recently bought one of his books called Beguiled by The Wild which has lots of his nature illustrations in. I love the simplicity of his work and the clever ideas. I’m going to research further into his work throughout my final major project to try and gain an understanding of how he uses shape to create sophisticated compositions. I want to create both children’s book illustrations and editorial illustrations for my final major project, I think that Charley Harper is a useful influence for both.
