This is another double page spread for The Death of the Cock. I wanted to turn the river into a character. I looked at the way other illustrators created water to help me do this. I looked at the work of Sanna Annukka and Joanna Nelson to help me with the composition and the curves of the waves. I then looked at Jim Flora to help me create the water as a character.
