Bob Staake

I stumbled upon the work of Bob Staake by chance whilst researching on the internet. He has similar influences to me, he looks at the work of Jim Flora and Mary Blair, and I feel as though my work is developing along similar lines. He creates lots of clever illustrations for the cover of the New Yorker and also writes and illustrates his own children’s books. I’ve been looking at one called The Donut Chef which he has written in rhyme, I really like his designs for the book, especially the way he creates movement.
