Kandinsky has been a big influence on my work since the first year. It was his work which made me consider the importance of shape in design. I’m not a big fan of his early work but I really like his modern abstract paintings. These are my two favourite pieces. I look back at these whenever I’m stuck for ideas. His work is also relevant to my personal project as he created paintings and prints for Russian fairytales.
